1) What are
your school hours?
Urban Day school
begins at 8:00 am with morning assembly.
Instructional time begins at 8:15 am.
Students arriving after 8:00 am will be marked
tardy by their teacher. The school day
ends at 3:30 pm unless a student is
receiving targeted intervention services,
he/she must be picked up on time.
2) What is the uniform policy?
The Urban Day School student dress code
strengthens the educational environment, eases
peer pressure where dress is concerned,
provides greater safety for students and
enhances the image of all Urban Day School
students. Students' appearance impacts
behavior. The uniform policy is required
for all students in grades 1st through 8th.
Uniforms must be clean, properly maintained
(i,e. hems, buttons, zippers) and of the
proper size to present a dignified image.
The dress code is enforced every day,
including field trips, unless noted by
Administration. Parents will be informed
in advance through the newsletter or special
bulletin of any special dress days.
3) What extracurricular activities do you
have?
This year Urban Day school offers
basketball, volleyball and flag football.
4) Do you have an extended day program?
Yes, Urban Day School has an extended day
program and students may only attend through
referral.
5) Do you have transportation?
Urban Day School does not provide
transportation to and from school.
6) Do you have before and after school
care?
Yes, Urban Day School provides
before and after school care through our
daycare center. Our daycare is fully
licensed with highly qualified and trained
staff. The center admits all children
regardless of race, color, or nationality.
Parents are welcome to stop in at anytime to
visit our facilities.
7) What is the teacher student ratio?
The staff to student ratio at Urban Day
school is K4-2nd grade 1:11 and 3rd-8th 1:24
